A little bit about me
Helay is pronounced "he-lie" and means swan in case you were wondering. I am a visual storyteller based in St. Louis, Missouri. In my sessions, I passionately document authentic and raw emotions. I specialize in capturing real moments and making you feel comfortable as if the camera wasn't following you around. I know that being in front of the camera can be intimidating. It's like someone is looking you deep into your soul and all of a sudden you don't know what to do with your hands, feet, or body. I will guide you and ease your fears to make your session with me a day to remember for a long time.
My work has been featured on various style and design blogs such as Peerspace where I was named as one of St. Louis's best lifestyle photographers in 2019.
Besides being a photographer, I am a mom to 3 awesome kids, and avid traveler and foodie. I love exploring new cities and cuisines wherever I go. I also practice yoga and enjoy being in nature both of which remind me to be present in the moment. I am my happiest when a spontaneous adventure leads to a new connection or experience.
